Baby Freiman at Week 25 - Week of July 25

As of this week, Baby Girl Freiman and I are officially sharing living space! There's no longer any moments where I don't "feel pregnant." I've made a few adjustments to be more comfortable, such as working at a standing desk at work, and sleeping with a rolled up t-shirt underneath my belly. I'm still trying to stay as active as possible...and that generally isn't a problem since standing is more comfortable than sitting anyway.

Highlights of the week:
*I started prenatal yoga this week! Even though it made me really miss my old practice, it felt awesome to work on stretching and breathing.
*David feels her move almost every day, and his reaction is really cute every time.
*The weather was amazing this week...it felt like the spring we never had. It feels great to be outside and get some vitamin D during lunch and after work.
*We bought a NutriBullet blender (cousin of Magic Bullet) and we make smoothies every day with fresh fruit. Yum-city.

What I've learned:
*Baby Freiman now knows the difference between up and down!
*Baby Freiman gets hungry for Nutella in the middle of the night.
*Dunkin Donuts Peach Iced Tea is an awesome coffee alternative.
*My immune system has no interest in eliminating Penny the Plantars Wart. It hurts pretty bad sometimes, but my dermatologist gave me a note to wear flip flops to work, so that's a win.

Baby Freiman at 24 Weeks - Week of July 18

Week 24 was probably the best week of pregnancy so far - because we spent most of it at the beach! We took our "babymoon" to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, specifically Avon and Ocracoke. It was delightful.

As far as physical changes this week, its mostly been my growing belly and my "linea nigra" appeared (a dark line on the center of my belly). I also can't sit down for more than about 30 minutes at a time without feeling uncomfortable; it feels like everything from my waist up is squished together making breathing a little difficult.

Highlights of the week:
*vacation time with the hubs
*David felt her move this week!

What I've learned:
*just getting more and more excited each week! ...and also continuing to familiarize myself with baby products as we work on the registries.

Baby Freiman at 23 Weeks - Week of July 11

Sorry for the later post this week! I spent this week in Phoenix for work. It was a great trip, but re-affirmed a big lesson I've been learning all week: I need to listen to my 23-week-pregnant body. Lifting, bending, reaching, moving, living...all take a little bit more time and care now. Overall though, she's still been very good to me!

What I've learned:
*Baby Girl Freiman's face is fully formed as of this week - I can't wait to see it!!
*I'm now an aisle seat girl
*Flights and car rides over 30 mins require a back pillow, but will still be uncomfortable
*Baby Girl Freiman will kick during turbulence
*Phoenix in July during "monsoon season" is the opposite of dry heat
*I'm now officially a fan of Southwest Airlines

Highlights of the week:
*We spent last Saturday on the Chesapeake Bay, and it was beautiful
*Baby Girl Freiman's bedding came in (thanks Mom)! I hope she likes owls. Now we can pick out paint and get moving on the nursery.
*It's official that Baby Girl Freiman is no longer bothered by coffee

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Yay summer.

Baby Freiman at 22 weeks - Week of July 4

Happy 22 weeks to Baby Girl Freiman and happy birthday America! She (the fetus) is now the size of a papaya.

Everything has been pretty similar symptom-wise this week. Sleeping and restless legs continue to be a challenge, but both are better when I take a walk in the evenings. The other really fun symptom that appeared about a month ago on my foot is Penny the Plantars Wart. Its enough of a nuisance that I went to get it checked out this week, and I learned that they can be common in pregnancy because the immune system is "preoccupied." Apparently any treatments worth having in dermatology aren't allowed during pregnancy, so Penny could be around until November.

What I've learned this week (other than about warts): I am continuing to receive some great registry suggestions from friends (thank you!) and surprisingly the staff at Buy Buy Baby is very knowledgeable ...so I think we're putting together a good list.

Highlights of the week: Celebrating the 4th of July with family was really fun, and we had our 22 week checkup this morning. Her heart rate is still in the 130s and doctor said its great that I'm feeling her move but its okay if I still don't feel her every day.

Also, I got a promotion! Now I'll be heading out on maternity leave as a Senior Human Resource Generalist.

Week 22 bump, with guest appearances by David and Rusty Fox (my nephew).
